The blanket was created in collaboration with Kutomo Holopainen. 

This blanket is designed for relaxation on your couch at home. It is a warm, timeless, and stylish home décor item. It is cozy to wrap yourself up in and easy to care for. The swirl pattern on the blanket represents continuous movement. It is a journey into the unknown, where things happen organically. You don't have to control or plan everything. Sometimes you can just go with the flow. This is how you can enjoy life more and even everyday life can be luxurious. 

Before creating the final, industrially knitted Kieppu blanket, I experimented with its shape using different bindings on an electronic knitting machine. Inspired by an ink painting, I designed a three-dimensional surface for these initial trials.
